According to Hindu beliefs, Mount Kailash is regarded as the divine dwelling of Lord Shiva, where he remains in eternal meditation with his consort, Parvati, daughter of the Himalayas. This holy mountain, known as Kailash Parvat, is seen as the ultimate destination for spiritual seekers and is considered the spiritual center of the world. Adjacent to Mount Kailash is Lake Mansarovar, revered as a symbol of purity and a major pilgrimage site that draws Hindus globally for the Kailash Yatra. Bathing in the sacred waters of Mansarovar and sipping from its pristine source during this pilgrimage are believed to purify devotees of sins accumulated over many lifetimes.

Pilgrims who embark on this sacred journey to Lake Mansarovar and Mount Kailash return with cherished memories, carrying a profound sense of Lord Shiva's presence that brings inner peace and tranquility. The untouched beauty and deep serenity of these sacred sites create a strong bond between pilgrims and Lord Shiva.

Known as 'Parikrama' in Hinduism and 'Kora' in Tibetan culture, the clockwise pilgrimage around Mount Kailash is an integral part of the journey, albeit physically demanding. With proper preparation, devout pilgrims successfully complete this spiritually significant trek, reinforcing their connection to the divine.
