In Hinduism, Mount Kailash is Lord Shiva's divine abode, where he meditates alongside his wife, Parvati. Kailash Parvat is seen as the ultimate destination for the soul and a spiritual epicenter. Lake Mansarovar, nearby, is a pure pilgrimage site. Pilgrims on the Kailash Yatra believe that immersing in its waters and drinking from its source cleanses them of accumulated sins.

Those fortunate to undertake this pilgrimage carry back a cherished memory, a constant reminder of Lord Shiva's presence, bringing peace. The serene beauty of these locations fosters a deep connection between pilgrims and Lord Shiva.

The clockwise pilgrimage around Mount Kailash, called 'Parikrama' in Hinduism and 'Kora' in Tibetan, is physically demanding but spiritually significant. Devout pilgrims, with proper preparation, complete this trek as part of their journey to Mount Kailash.
