Itinerary

Day 1

Our representative will welcome you in the airport and transfer to the hotel. Our guide will brief you about the tour. If time permits we will proceed to sightseeing of Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swoyambunath.

Accomodation: Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2

Early Morning you can enjoy Mountain Flight (optional tour) It is approximately 1hours Flight that takes you to the Northeast Part of Nepal for the spectacular sight of snowcapped mountains, mainly highest of the worlds including Mt. Everest.

Have breakfast at the Hotel.

After breakfast we will proceed for  sightseeing of Kathmandu covering,  Pashupatinath- the holiest Hindu Temple in Indian subcontinent; Bodhnath- One of the biggest Buddhist Stupa/Temple in the world.

 

Pashupatinath: One of the most sacred Hindu temples in the world. The richly ornamented pagoda temple houses the sacred lingam (Phallus). This temple exists prior to 200 years BC but the present structure is 350 years old. Near the temple there are crematoriums in the bank of Bagmati river where Hindus perform their death rituals.

 

Boudhanath:  It lies about 6 kms east from city center and it is one of the largest Stupas in the World. It looms 36 m high with 04 pairs of eyes facing the four directions. It is built in 5th Century in an octagonal foundation representing Mandala (Lotus). A lot of people of Tibetan origin live in this area and there are dozens of Tibetan monasteries

 

Bhaktapur: It is the third largest urban center of the valley, located about 30 minutes from Kathmandu, the ancient trade route to Tibet. The city is beautiful and has preserved the traditional character of Malla era, in its Square, in the temples, shrines, buildings, fountains, and the lively streets of potters, wood carvers, weavers and artisans of many ancient traditions. 

Day 3

After enjoying breakfast we proceed to sightseeing of Kathmandu valley.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: This UNESCO’s heritage square with its old temples, palaces give you the feeling as if you are in the 17th century. There are dozens of impressive  pagoda style temples and palaces including Jagannath temple with Kamasutra Arts, Taleju temple, Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, Kasthamandap- a temple believed to be built from a single tree, Basantpur Palace, Open Market of Basantpur, Kalabhairab- the god of death, Big bell, Maju Deval  and  famous House of ‘Kumari’ the living goddess. This is the square where the kings of Nepal are crowned.

 

Swoyambunath: This Buddhist Stupa watches over the Kathmandu valley with its ‘all seeing eyes’ from atop the Hill. This huge dome shaped structure is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world. Its establishment is linked to the creation of Kathmandu valley out of a holy lake. The 2000 years old Buddhist Stupa is also known as the ‘Monkey Temple’. 

 

Patan:  Patan Durbar Square is the main attraction in Lalitpur, the city of fine arts. Patan is also known as Manigal. It is best known for its rich cultural heritage, particularly its tradition of arts and crafts. It is also called as city of festival and feast, fine ancient art, making of metallic and stone carving statue. Lalitpur said to have been founded by King Veer Deva in 299 A.D. but, there is unanimity among scholars that Patan was a well established and developed town since ancient times. Several historical records including many other legends also indicate that Patan is the oldest of all the cities of Kathmandu Valley.

Evening you spend on your own way.

Accomodation: Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 4

After breakfast drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan (175 kms, 05 hrs) for Jungle safari. En route if you are interested we can enjoy White Water Rafting on Trishuli River.

On arrival, have Lunch. After Midday Jungle activities include Bird watching and Jungle walk.  Evening slide show presentation or Tharu stick dance at the lodge. 

Accomodation: Dinner and overnight at the jungle resort.
Day 5

Full day jungle activities including Elephant Safari, Canoeing, Bird watching, etc. There are about 276 species of birds. We learn about Asian Elephants. The canoeing (it is the traditional dug-out canoe which takes you on the silent trip down the river with views of birds, wild animals and crocodiles on the river bank. Guests will ride on elephant back to explore the jungle and wildlife the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison sloth bear, leopard and if lucky the Royal Bengal tiger.

Evening we enjoy the Tharu Stick Dance.

Accomodation: Stay Overnight at the Jungle Resort
Day 6

In the morning we roam around village. Naturalist will brief you about the social and cultural aspect of the villagers and will show you their lifestyle. Luggage down and departure from Chitwan to Kathmandu. Drive Back to Kathmandu.

 

Check in at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Evening you are free for Individual activities. One can go for shopping at Thamel or have a good times at casino.

Day 7

Have breakfast at hotel. Free until departure.

Later transfer to the airport in time to connect the international flight.
