Terms & Condition
A legally binding agreement for our services is created between MSSTE and you, the client, by these booking terms and conditions indicated below. Before making a travel reservation with us, please carefully read our terms and conditions.
Instructions (Trips to Nepal)
Bookings can be processed through our website, websites run by third parties, or by emailing [email protected].
The cost of our vacation is stated in US dollars. The same-day exchange rate determined by Nepal's Central Bank will be used to convert your local currency into USD if you are booking the trip with us and paying in your home currency.
- A completed booking form, a copy of your passport, and a 30% down payment of the entire trip fee should be sent to us.
- THE 30% Deposit is NONREFUNDABLE.
- For trips to Nepal, the remaining balance can be paid at our office or hotel on the day of arrival in USD or with a credit card.
- For an India trip, the remaining amount must be paid at least 20 days before the trip's departure date in USD via credit card or bank transfer.
Reservations (Tibetan and Bhutan Travel)
- A completed booking form, a copy of your passport, and a 50% down payment of the entire trip fee should be sent to us.
- A 50% DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
- The remaining amount must be paid at least 20 days prior to the departure date of the trip in USD or by credit card.
Last-minute Reservation
- Ten days before the trip's departure, if there is still room available, we will take last-minute reservations for Nepal; full payment will then be needed.
- We will accept last-minute reservations for excursions to Bhutan and Tibet up to 20 days before the tour departure date; full payment is then due.
Policy for Cancellations and Refunds (Trips to Nepal)
- In order to cancel your trip, you must provide us written notice at least 20 days in advance by email. Only cancellations with the appropriate notice and approval can be handled by us.
- We will remove 30% of the total trip cost if you cancel your trip at least 20 days prior to the departure date; the remaining amount will be reimbursed to you.
- However, there will be a 100% fee and no return (no refund policy) if you cancel your trip with less than 20 days' notice before the departure date. In the event that the cancellation necessitates filing a claim with your insurance provider, we can help by offering supporting paperwork, such as a receipt for the funds paid.
Policy on Cancellations and Refunds for Trips to Tibet and Bhutan
- A valid written notice must be sent to us via email at least thirty days before the departure date of the trip. A cancellation is only permitted with permission once notice has been given.
- If the trip is canceled thirty days before it leaves, 50% of the total cost will be removed from the advance you paid; the money left over will be reimbursed.
- If a trip is canceled with less than 30 days' notice before it departs, there will be a 100% cancellation fee (no return policy). In the event that you decide to cancel the trip and must file a claim with your insurance provider, we may assist you with the necessary paperwork, including a receipt for any money paid.
Postpone the Trip to Nepal
- Twenty days before the tour departure date, you must send us written notice via email stating the reasons you are unable to travel. We must get written notice from you 20 days before your revised departure date if you are postponing the trip.
- If you postpone, prepay, or transfer your trip to someone else, you will be charged USD 200 per person. It is the client's responsibility to locate a substitute for the trip.
Postpone the Trip (to Tibet and Bhutan)
- Thirty days before the tour departure date, you should send us an email stating in writing why you are unable to travel. Should you decide to postpone the trip, you must inform us in writing at least 30 days before your new departure date.
- If you postpone, prepay, or transfer your trip to someone else, you will be charged USD 200 per person. It is the client's responsibility to locate a substitute for the trip.
INCOMPLETE TRIP
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY REFUNDS FOR ANY MEALS, ACCOMMODATION, OR SERVICES NOT USED DURING THE TRIP, IN CASE THE CLIENTS FAIL TO COMPLETE THE TRIP FOR ANY REASON. Moreover, WE WILL NOT REFUND YOU IF YOU COMMIT ANY UNLAWFUL ACTS DURING THE TRIP AND ARE FORCED TO LEAVE NEPAL.
Passport and Visas (Nepal)
- A valid passport is needed with a minimum validity of 6 months from the return date.
- A Nepalese visa can be obtained from the Nepalese Consulate in your country or upon arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Nepalese visa costs are the sole responsibility of clients. For more details, please read this link about Nepalese Tourist Visa.
- The online form for a tourist visa to Nepal can be completed. Department of Immigration is the link. You must complete the online form no later than 15 days before to your arrival date, as it will only be valid for 15 days. After completing the form, an email receipt will be sent to you. As you will need to present the receipt to the immigration authorities, you should print it off and carry it with you.
Visas and passports (for Tibet and Bhutan)
- It is necessary to have a passport that is at least six months away from the date of return.
- MSSTE will arrange for your Tibet visa and permit, as you are unable to obtain visas for either country directly. The trip fee includes all of these expenses.
- At the time of booking, you must email us a clear, color scan of your passport in order to make this easier.
Risk and Liabilities:
ALL OF OUR TOURS TO NEPAL, INDIA, BHUTAN, AND TIBET ARE OPERATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE APPLICABLE COUNTRY'S TOURISM BOARD. MSSTE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY CHANGES IN Itineraries CAUSED BY UNFORESEEN EVENTS OUTSIDE OF OUR CONTROL. FOR EXAMPLE: AN EARTHQUAKE, LANDSLIDE, FLOOD, SNOWFALL, AVALANCHE, ETC.; LOCAL POLITICS; GOVERNMENT RESTRICTION; BAD WEATHER; ILL HEALTH CONDITION OF TREKKERS; DEATH; ROAD BLOCKAGE; FLIGHT DELAY/CANCELLATION; AND ANY OTHER THINGS BEYOND OUR CONTROL. The client or clients will be responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of the event. Additionally, WE ADVISE YOU TO BUY TRAVEL INSURANCE WHILE VISITING NEPAL.
